I am a Holistic Wellness Professional; I work with people who are living their lives for someone else; who are not living their joy; who need the support from an outside source; and I work with those who are running their lives at 100% or higher and I help bring them down to 90% or lower. Joy, Happiness and Love are inside of us all the time, sometimes we need help accessing that part of us. I use yoga, meditation, mindfulness, coaching, creative therapy, nature and nutrition as part of the tools and techniques for sustainable modes of living.
My journey started when I became ill in 2010 due to stress; I listened to the advice of my family doctor, however, there wasn't much she could do. With an infinity to alternative healing modalities and the various ways we can cure the mind, body and spirit, I enlisted the help of some of my favourite ways to heal: I called up my Naturopath, I wrote a lot in my blog to help channel my creative expression as well dance the night away to relieve some of the daily pressures of being 25 and not having my life "sorted out" just yet; I continued to practice yoga and go to the gym, and I learned to change my perspective on stress in order to help boost my immune system and know how to deal with it in the future. I also traveled during this time which also helped immensely as I was able to discover and learn about who I am even more; it allowed me to get out of my head and into my heart space.
From there, I continued to travel and ended up living in Melbourne, Australia for one year. I went to a coaching and personal development school, where I gained the necessary tools to guide and lead others to change.
After coming back to Toronto and realizing that solely being a coach wasn't making me happy, I continued on my research with nutrition as form of healing and practicing yoga. In early 2015 I found myself in Restorative Yoga Teacher Training and 200 Hour Teacher Training at Octopus Garden. Right after I started teaching and learning new ways of slowing down and living life full of Love, Joy and Happiness.
Throughout my years, I have always taken the holistic approach to self-care and development ensuring that my personal wellness is top of mind. I have learned that talking to others about your problems or issues, expressing creativity, journaling, your diet, exercising + moving the body, mindfulness, and your attitude in life all contribute to the quality of our lives in the most holistic way possible. Should we truly not need medical assistance, these are all natural, safe and effective ways that we can change our lives for the better.
I am here to now help you; I have always thought of myself as being Your #1 Fan, and I will cheer you on as you pursue the things that make you happy in life.
